Install on iPhone
- Install TestFlight, Apple's official app for beta software, if you do not have it.
- Open the public beta link: testflight.apple.com/join/fAuhRHU8.
- Tap Accept, then Install. Updates arrive through TestFlight automatically.
In the current beta the Map tab is a placeholder and push alerts are not wired yet. Everything else works with live data.
Install on Android
- On your Android phone, open the latest release and download the file ending in .apk.
- Open the downloaded file. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser; allow it, then tap Install. This is normal for an app that is not on the Play Store yet.
- Open ChainCheck and pick where you are headed. No account, no sign-up.
Trouble installing on Android
- "App not installed" usually means an older copy with a different signature is present. Uninstall the old ChainCheck first, then install again.
- Can't find the setting? On most phones it is Settings, then Apps, then Special access, then Install unknown apps; pick your browser or Files app.
Alerts
Open the app, tap Alerts, and choose the routes you want to watch. You will get a notification when a chain control changes, a closure goes up, or a storm warning lands on your pass. Nothing promotional, ever.
Contact
